Senator Margo Greenwood joins the Independent Senators Group


OTTAWA, January 24, 2023 – Senator Margo Greenwood (BC) announced today that she will be joining the Independent Senators Group (ISG). Dr. Margo Greenwood, O.C., PhD, is an accomplished Indigenous scholar of Cree ancestry with over 30 years of experience in the health and well-being of Indigenous children, families, and communities.

Senator Margo Greenwood was nominated to the Senate on November 10, 2022, through the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments. Her addition to the Independent Senators Group brings the total membership to 40.
