Senator John McNair Joins Independent Senators Group

 

OTTAWA, January 15, 2024 – New Brunswick Senator John McNair announced today that he will be joining the Independent Senators Group (ISG). Mr. McNair is an accomplished lawyer with a legal career spanning almost 40 years. He has served the people of New Brunswick in various capacities, namely as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Official Opposition for the Province of New Brunswick, Executive Director of the New Brunswick Liberal Association (provincial and federal), and Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister of Justice for the Province of New Brunswick. He also served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to Service New Brunswick from 2009 to 2023.

Senator John McNair was nominated to the Senate on October 31, 2023, through the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments.
